Network Adapter not working

Featured Replies

Hello

I am new to this game.

I am installing UNRAID 4.7

I finally managed to get my system to boot from the flash drive and UNRAID is running but now the onboard network adapter is inactive (it still works fine under windows 7)

I inserted an old LAN card and disabled the onboard LAN adapter in the BIOS. This one is also now inactive

In both cases, when I enter

"ifconfig eth0", I get

"error fetching interface information: Device not found"

I am using an ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 motherboard (http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5GCMX1333/)

Will this be a motherboard compatibitly issue?

This motherboard is not the recommended list but there are some with very close specs there.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated (about to give up)

thanks in advance

Attach a syslog to your next post.  (It will show what is being detected.)

Hello.

I have the ASRock FM2A88X+ board with the Atheros onboard LAN.  I understand that isn't supported yet, so I added a PCI card that is supported:  Linksys LTE100x.

I've also disabled the onboard LAN.

However, I still don't show any devices.

I can access the tower console from putty.
