November 3, 201213 yr I ran badblocks using this command badblocks -sv -w -o /tmp/badblocks_sdl.out /dev/sdl There is a file in /tmp with that name, but when I try to view it, it is empty. Any tips on what I may have done incorrectly? What should I be seeing? Thanks, ~Whip

Be aware though, you need to wait for badblocks to complete to see the list.. (and that can take several days on a large disk)
