Seeing deals for 3tb external usb 3.0 seagate drives for $99 at a few stores for black friday so far. Looks like staples, costco, and bestbuy will have the same one for sale. Haven't seen any deals on internal drives yet. Should be easy enough to pop the drive out of the enclosure.

I tried to look for links to the actual item. Comparing it to a newegg listing, one of the reviews said actual drive in it is a Seagate Barracuda ST3000DL001

 

I'm hoping on getting 4 3tb drives this black friday. Then I can use my existing 2tb drives for backup purposes.

According to this thread it is a segate 3TB..  Downside is you blow your warranty..  less of an issue now that they are so crummy anyway... 

bfads is showing a Tiger Direct ad for a Seagate 7200RPM SATA III internal for 89.99

But what I can't tell is where that snippet of print ad came from. Is it stores-only/doorbuster? Is it online? When does it start etc?

Ok looks like Microcenter as well will be having the same drive for $99 on friday.

 

Seems like a lot of places will be having this same drive at $99, should make it easier to find.
