November 9, 201213 yr So I did a ton of research bought a new case and after all somehow missed the HPA issue. I am using an older 740G chipsset gigabyte board where I can't disable HPA. Processor is AM2 and DDR2 RAM. This all happened after spending countless hours flash an IBM m1015 card to IT firmware which I managed to do successfully... But anyway, I need to do things right and accepted the fact that I will have to get new stuff. So I need your help, I want this to last a long time. 15 drives in nexus prominent case in Norco SS-500 cages. 1) Cost is an issue so I can't afford a server board which I guess narrows it to AMD boards. 2) Needs to be super stable, and be compatible with the IBM m1015 flashed to LSI IT firmware. 3) Sickeard, Sabnzbd, Couchpotatoe, and POSSIBLY Plex Media Server in the future (I assume this would be most CPU intensive plugin) 4) Will be on 24/7 serving about 3 Popcorn hours, so power consumption is important. What do you guys think? Can all this be done under $200? CPU, RAM, Mobo? I was thinking of using this board ASRock 880GM-LE. But I am not sure if it will play nice with the IBM m1015 controller. Anyway, let's here it guys. I want to build this once and leave it running for a VERY long time.

November 11, 201213 yr I honestly don't use AMD boards these days so I cant give a good suggestion there. What I can suggest, You might want to look up a few possible boards you like or can afford. Then search the entire forum with the board model number and see what others are saying about the boards in question. I am sure others are using most of the common hardware you can get these days.
