November 10, 201213 yr Does anyone have any ideal of what 1 of these drives would go for, drive has around 6700 hours and 3 years left on the warranty?
November 10, 201213 yr I use to sell car stereos and would accept trades, so I often had used equipment to sell. The rule of thumb I had when selling something used was a good starting point is half of the current market value. If the product isn't available anymore I take the closest product to it and knock off 10-15%. For that drive it is no longer made but seagate has an almost identical drive for $169 on newegg. So I'd take $85 and probably knock another $5-10 off of that. Best way to achieve that is ask $85 and accept $75. Edit: This is the way I sell things, hard drives are a iffy thing to resell. $100 for that drive is a great deal, $130 is even possible. You can start as high as you want (within reason) and let people haggle you down some.
