I was trying to hide the disk shares.

 

I can hide disk1, but disk2 still shows up in the browser..

 

I ended up doing "share hidden" and that took it away.

 

Bug perhaps?

 

FYI - new server on 5.0rc8a and the disks are still doing a parity check.

try to force a restart of smb...

go into smb settings and simply click apply.

Nope: export (YES hidden) removes it from the browser, but NO it still shows up.

 

Got about 45 mins left on the Parity check and will try a reboot as well and report back.

You did click on each and every disk to set the export, right?

Yes: I clicked on each one which didn't help, BUT after it finished syncing, I rebooted it and that Worked.

 

Strange. Maybe the SMB processes are not completely reset by only clicking Apply.
