Unmenu Packager Manager calling for bad url for AirVideo install....FYI

Featured Replies

I'm not expert and perhaps this is already widely known but I ran into this when installing AirVideo via Package Manager.

The following url is bad for some reason.  This will make the install of AirVideo fail showing a 'corrupt' file.

http://lp.slackwaresupport.com/Slackware-11.0/X11/mpeg4ip/mpeg4ip-1.5.0.1-i486-1ahl.tgz

All I did was navigate to the /boot/packages directory and delete the existing mpeg4ip-1.5.0.1-i486-1ahl.tgz that apparently is created.  Then do a wget from a mirror source that has the file properly hosted.  Then perform the install of AirVideo again via Package Manager.

Example of a good url:

http://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/linuxpackages/Slackware-11.0/X11/mpeg4ip/mpeg4ip-1.5.0.1-i486-1ahl.tgz

Like I said, I'm not expert and this might be well known.  Most people could probably figure this out on their own but I thought I would share just in case.

I have an updated version of Airvideo... just have not had time to do any testing on it.
