November 13, 201213 yr I have extra internal SATA connections available inside of my case, but I am out of physical room to add drives in my case. Is there any way to add sata drives outside of my case using the internal connections?
November 15, 201213 yr You could use infiniband cables. That is not sata 3 though. I used this before i built my unraid servers, it works ok. You will need sata cables, sata to sff8470 converters, sff8470 cable, a sff8470 to sata converter and than again sata cables. Also you need a case where your external drives are in.. I can post links if you need more explanation, and if you are in europe, i have all these things for sale, much cheaper than new.
