Transfering Data

Featured Replies

I was able to successfully setup my Unraid server in an esxi VM with passthrough of my M1015 card last night.  I'm now preparing to likely begin the transfer of data of my old server.    What would be the best way to go about that?

Can I connect the UnRaid server to my existing file server shares to move them?  Or is another approach recommended?

EDIT:

I found this in the WIKI.  http://www.lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/FAQ#Is_there_a_guide_to_moving_all_of_my_existing_data_to_my_new_unRAID_server.3F

Seem's there is no clear cut way to do it.    I am moving from Ubuntu Server to Unraid, so I may see what I do by mounting an unraid share in my Ubuntu Nas box, and than transfer that way with rsync or similar.
