No difference between the unRAID versions, the preclear signature is primarily based on the disk size.
November 17, 201213 yr Author Thanks Joe -- I had assumed as much but just wanted to be sure. My v5 system has a couple of free hot-swap slots, so it's very simple to pop in a drive to do a pre-clear. The v4.7 system requires opening the case to install additional drives -- so it's much simpler to confirm they're okay using the v5 system.
