I've been running unraid and xbmc in my home theater for a few months now and love it. Looking to expand on what I can really do. I'm an avid runner and would like to ability to stream music to my galaxy s3 while away from the house, having access to my entire library instead of local music to the phone. In my reading I've come across subsonic mentioned as a great solution to this several times. Is this the best answer?

    If it is, is it ok to intall it to the flash drive. I know SB and SAB are reccomended to be installed to cache and I had a few problems with that causing my cache to be offline currently. Do I need to wait until I have that fixed or go ahead with the isntall to the flash now?

I would not install to flash... It would be slower and it also makes more writes to the usb drive making it more prone to error.... There is also no real reason not to run of the cache, what is your issue there ?
