November 18, 201213 yr I always can use MC, BUT then I need to login via putty, it would be so nice to use same function trough the GUI without to move files using network. //Peter
November 18, 201213 yr been trying to use the simplefeatures webserver and ajaxexplorer but get the following after install and dunno where to go next.... This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. <tree><message type="ERROR">preg_replace(): Compilation failed: unknown option bit(s) set at offset 0</message></tree> Myk
November 18, 201213 yr has something to do with this: You must set a correct charset encoding in your locale definition in the form: en_us.UTF-8. Please refer to setlocale man page. If your detected locale is C, please check the F.A.Q.. Detected locale: C (using UTF- Suggestion : Set the AJXP_LOCALE parameter to the correct value in the conf/bootstrap_conf.php file pcre does not have UTF-8 compiled in from what I gather via google Myk
November 18, 201213 yr I have made a similar request some time ago... Would be nice to have a plugin that would "balance out" the drives.. Unfortuantely I am not able to do it myself (not nearly knowledgeable enough) and most people do not want to touch a plugin like this because it handles data and a typo could mean dataloss...
November 18, 201213 yr ok, was able to get this working.... need some simplefeatures modules - at least the base one, and the webserver one after you got the SF webserver installed and running, get the latest ajaxplorer file and extract that into whatever webroot you specified in the SF webserver pluging then in /boot/config/plugins/simpleFeatures you need to edit the php.ini and add "AddDefaultCharset UTF-8" without quotes to the end of the file and restart the webserver or reboot i have mine on port 8085 - to i go to \\tower:8085 and it will show the test screen - everything should be ok but a warning about ssl - i dont use ssl so I ignore it, if everything is ok, click on the continue link, it will create a default admin/admin login/pass after that you need to finish setting up the ajaxplorer the way you want - I made some repos to go direct to some of my shares, cache drive etc its actually not a bad system - handy if you dont know the CLI or dont want to use it. Myk

Myk Cheers for that mate... Just messing myself and got that error. Think Ajaxplorer is good because it was the only feature missing after I moved from a QNAP to unRAID... Being able to access my files remotely or on a networked computer without having to resort to CLI all the time. EDIT:after messing around for hours still no joy. Any other suggestions?!!
December 23, 201213 yr I too have been trying to get this to work. I think it would be an awesome plugin for us to use.
December 23, 201213 yr it's something i have on my todo for 2013... (i want to clean up some of my disks, so i could need this myself ) but i have some other plugins, which I want to complete before I start this one. i don't think we could get Ajaxplorer as a standalone without any other webserver. my plugin target would be a tool, to migrate all files of a selected subdirectory to the same disk.)
December 25, 201213 yr http://extplorer.sourceforge.net/ This seems to work as long as you have simple feature web server enabled. Haven't done any testing yet though. No installation needed. Just copy the folder to web server root, then log in as admin/admin. it will tell you to change the password on the first log in.
December 26, 201213 yr Just tried it, seems to work nicely and very featured ! No install so no extra load on the server until you use it. Remember to change the home path to /mnt for your user, standard you will only see the web directory eXtplorer itself is in..

There seems to be a file size limitation - Can't see large file sizes >GB and can't seem to copy them.

Its a nice tool for a few quick copies and also has nice views of file permissions and such, pretty usefull !
