I have only returned one item to Amazon, but I was amazed at how easy it was.  You just print out a sheet, tape it on and then drop it off at the post office.  No need to pay for shipping or anything.

If the shipping box is unopened, yeah. There's no shipping fee since you're just refusing delivery. But if the shipping box is opened, you'll be charged for return shipping in almost all cases.

 

Otherwise it's a very easy process. The closest UPS store is literally .5 miles away.
