Finally found the time to test 5.0-rc8a on my unRAID host (a Dell r210 II) and noticed something.

 

In 5.0-rc5, the onboard Broadcom 5716C NIC used the bnx2 kernel module and everything was fine.

 

In 5.0-rc8a, the NIC doesnt come up at all. I've tried to manually load the module and restart inetd but no success in getting it to recognize. Read the forums and tried loading the broadcom and tg3 modules - no dice.

 

It worked in previous releases so I figured it was supported... any other ideas? I'd really like to move forward with being on a later build and hopefully the 5.0-final.
