Am about to purchase two of these with a Newegg three year extended warranty which is currently being offered at $8.99.  I have no clue how valuable or useful this extended warranty is, so will have to report back on my success or failure.

Woot!  First unRAID build is soon to be.  Just purchased two of the Seagate 2 TB for my data drives and a WD 3 TB Red for my parity drive.  Price plus shipping for all is $355 (no free shipping to Alaska) which puts the cost per MB at $0.51 with three year warranty on all.  Please excuse me while enjoy a serving of self-satisfied smugness.

I ordered this on newegg on black friday. Two hours later they canceled my order saying it was out of stock.

 

Next morning, I saw that the page still said it was in stock. so I placed another order. 4 days later I received a 3TB version lol

Thanks, well, the only annoying part is I am on 4.7 so I cannot utilize the 3TB drive.

 

I guess I'll have to upgrade to the release candidate 

Or put an HPA on the disk to make it look like a 2TB.

OR mail me the three and I'll send you a two!
