Featured Replies

I spent so much effort getting it for $100 at the lightning deal yesterday too!

wooohooo finally got me one. Time to upgrade the parity drive. Thanks for the heads up

Seagate 3 TB Barracuda 3.5" Internal Hard Drive (7200rpm) and 1 Year Limited Warranty.

The reviews for these drives at all the places carrying them seem to very mixed. More 1* reviews than 5* ones. Early drive deaths.

You all buying the 2 year extended warranty for 10 bucks?

At this point I'm thinking might as well buy the external 3tb drive, a bit cheaper and 2 year warranty.

The problem with external is that if you remove the drive from the external enclosure it voids the warranty.  If you can get it out and then later back inside the encloser such that they can't tell it won't be a problem.
