November 23, 201213 yr I have an unRAID system running on a HP Microserver. It's been running find for quite a while now but I need some more space. The system currently has 3 x 2TB drives (1 parity, 2 data) and a USB key for unRAID. I've added a 4th 2TB disk. The BIOS and unRAID seems to see it. If I telnet to the box and run dmesg I can see sde in the device list (which is the 4th disk - after sdb, sdc and sdd) but the webGUI doesn't show it. I wasn't to run the preclear.sh script on it before adding it to the array but that doesn't appear to work because unRAID doesn't show the disk. Any ideas?
November 23, 201213 yr which unRaid licence do you have? the free basic licence doesn't allow you to add more drives (3 array drives max, parity included). if you want to add more drives, you'll have to buy a licence.
November 23, 201213 yr Author Ordered a licence, just waiting for it to come. Manage to get the preclear script to work so plenty of time to preclear before the licence arrives!
