November 26, 201213 yr I'm using HP N40L with modified bios (AHCI enabled on 5/6 SATA ports). Cache drive is on 5th port and is enabled on user shares. My writes to user shares is same as the ones to protected array, about 20~25MB/s. I'm using AFP in Macs. When I drag files to cache drive directly, I can get about 50~60MB/s. I couldn't figure out what's wrong. Please see the attached syslog. Thanks! Btw, when I transfered files between disks in my array using MC, I only got ~20-25MB/s. It is kind of slow, like writes to protected array. Is that normal? Syslog.txt
November 26, 201213 yr Author Yes, it's set to Yes. But I'll upload a screen shot for the configuration page in case there are some tricks. Thanks! Is "Use cache disk:" set to Yes for the destination share?
