November 27, 201213 yr 1) I wouldn't recommend it. Modifications to the database will be small, but likely result in many writes. Reading from this card is going to be very slow. If you want to run from a flash drive, run from a different flash drive than the system drive. 2) Probably, I have MySQL running from my unRAID box (which is virtualized) that has 2GB of memory assigned. The worst case scenario is you find you need to use swap space, or increase the memory to 4GB (relatively cheap). 3) 2GB additional GB should be more than enough. I'd try to run with 2GB at first. 4) Library navigation on my system seems fine, but you may have issues with your music library. Your biggest impact is probably going to be storing the database on flash storage, which is going to be slower than a hard drive.
