December 1, 201213 yr Just curious if this is an issue or not. Is this possible for it to be running a parity check, all drives were spinning but now it's at 90% and all the drives are shut down except the parity drive and it's still running the check? Has an hour to go @ 72.3MB/sec. All drives have data on them. I've never watched it do a full parity check, I've only seen it starting and in the middle, but never at the end. 5.0-rc5-r8168
December 1, 201213 yr You haven't given us what we need to help. It's like going to an auto-mechanic and saying "shit don't work, fix it". You need to give us DETAILS. What size are the data drives? What size is the parity drive?
December 1, 201213 yr if you have for example a 2 TB parity drive, but all your data drives are 1TB or 1.5TB, then of course the data drives can spin down during the last parts of parity sync. the parity check has to go through the complete parity drive, even if there is no data drive as big as the parity drive...
December 1, 201213 yr Author Stupid me....I upgraded my parity drive and it's larger than the other drives and this is the first parity check since. That would cause it. Sorry guys, wasn't thinking.
