I recently added my old parity drive to the array as a data drive, disk6.  Under share settings for TV Shows I added it as disk6 with Allocation as high water however nothing has been added to it.  My other drives disk1 and disk4 are starting to get full so I thought the new tv shows should go to disk6, any idea?

 

Disk1 as about 60GB left, Disk4 about 218GB and Disk6 is a 2TB

Settings->Share Settings ??

 

Did you perhaps fill in either of the included/excluded fields?

 

If not, have you rebooted?  It has been reported the share allocation rules are only read at the time the array is rebooted.

There is nothing under those settings, I will reboot and see what happens and report back in a few days when I add more shows.
