PiZZaMaN
Hi Im getting some errors on disk 5. Installed the paritydrive yesterday, synced it and run paritycheck. That drive is the only drive that is connected to the 2port sata card (parity +1-4 is on the motherboard) Should i be worried? All drives exept 1+2 was precleard with no fault. Can it be sata cable or powercable? https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5314933/errors%20paritycheck2.png Quote Link to comment

dgaschk
The disk need to be rebuilt to fix unreadable (pending) sectors. After the disk is rebuilt the pending sectors RAW value should be zero. If you have a spare pre-cleared drive use it now and pre-clear the faulty drive. Pre-clear, possibly repeatedly until the pending sector RAW value goes to zero. If the disk self-assessment is PASSED then the disk becomes the new spare. Otherwise the disk can be rebuilt in place. To rebuild in place: Stop the array and un-assign the disk. Start the array. Stop the array. Assign the disk. Start the array. Click Rebuild. After this procedure completes the pending sectors should be zero. Quote Link to comment

dgaschk
After the rebuild is complete check the SAMRT report. Self-assessment status must be PASSED and Current_Pending_Sector RAW_VALUE must be zero. Quote Link to comment
