Just finished my first unRAID build and want to add new disks to the array.

 

My MOBO can accomodate 4 SATA drives

 

Have searched the forums for compatible SATA cards for unRAID and found the compatible hardware wiki and various posts but the vast majority of those cards either don't seem to be available any longer or provide more ports than I need right now at a higher cost.

 

The PCI slots I have available right now are PCIe x1 and x16.

 

Any help on which current / reccomended compatible cards would be appropriate would be appreciated.

almost every card is compatible. if you only want to add one or two drives at this moment, you could buy a cheap 2 port pciex1 card
