FTP and Webserver advice

Featured Replies

I have UnRaid running ESXi, as a virtual machine with passthrough of my controller card to access my drives, and things appear to be working well.

I've also installed Win7 as a VM that is used as my 'download' machine, but has a mapped drive to a folder in UnRaid.

Now, I'm looking to setup a FTP Server to access the UnRaid shares as well.  I like having a separate VM yo avoid any issues and to keep thing 'simpler'.  I'll also be setting up a webserver as well.

So what Operating System do you think is best/easiest for setting up a nice ftp server. Actually, probably use sftp to be little bit more secure.

In the past, I've used UbuntuServer for both.    Stay with that, or use something?
