Unraid 4.7: Parity Drive upgrade problem

Featured Replies

I've been trying to upgrade my functioning 2TB parity drive to a 3TB drive.

I simply stopped the array and then did a clean power down. Replaced the HDD and started the pc back up.

I don't recall exactly what it said at the beginning, something about Parity drive not being the correct one possibly.

Now it only says "No parity drive" even if I've selected it in devices.

Should I connect the old 2TB parity drive again and then take some other steps before swapping drives ?

Thanks for your help.

unRAID 4.7 does not support 3TB drives.

Put the old parity drive back, get it to where parity is valid once more on 4.7, then upgrade to 5.-rc8a and THEN you can have a 3TB parity disk.

Thank you for your answer. Wow, I didn't know 4.7 didn't support 3TB drives :)

Cheers!
