Helmonder
Is it possible to reconfigure emhttp to default to another port then 80 ? I have a lot of stuff running on the system and would to have a base mainpage to route to the different functions of the system, ofcourse I know I can also do that thru another port but I would prefer having my "overall main page" on port 80. Joe L.
change the line in the config/go file from /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & to /usr/local/sbin/emhttp -p XX & where XX = the port you wish it to use, then reboot the server. Quote Link to comment

redalert11
this helped me i would like to clarify that config/go location is /boot/config/go this was the top google result for me so hopefully this helps the next person. Quote Link to comment
RobJ
Changing the unRAID port should really be in a FAQ or wiki somewhere, or perhaps a built-in setting. I believe this still works the same in v6. Quote Link to comment
redalert11
yah im using version 6.1.9 and it worked for me. i know this was an old topic but it was the top google result for me. Quote Link to comment
killeriq
why is not this setting in UI?! Quote Link to comment
RobJ
I suspect there may never have been a direct request for it, few have needed it. And it's not quite as simple as just adding a setting, could be confusing for non-technical users, as they will lose the UI until they also change the server address in their browser (which seems obvious but some users ...). And I believe it will probably require a reboot, as emhttp cannot currently be restarted. Additional help has to be displayed, to lessen confusion for some. Quote Link to comment
RobJ
I've added it to the FAQ: I have software that requires using port 80. How do I change the HTTP port that unRAID uses? Quote Link to comment

I would word it a bit different as I can see people changing the emhttp post simply because a docker app wants to use it instead of remapping the docker port. Marshalleq
And what about for SSL? Edit - I've found this is all in the GUI now Settings, Management Access. Should have looked there first! Edited August 29, 2019 by Marshalleq Quote Link to comment
Richard J
Thanks! How do I edit the /boot/config/go file? Is it using the terminal in the Unraid GUI? (I hope not since any text there is covered by a multicoloured blur for some reason in Unraid 6.9.2). Quote Link to comment
Squid
Changing the port via the go file does not work for quite a while. Settings, Management Settings. If fix common problems is complaining that you're trying to do it via "go", then edit /config/go on the flash drive using any editor (Notepad will work just fine) Quote Link to comment

trurl
Why do you want to change the port anyway? Quote Link to comment
