Needing some advice on a ESXi build

I have my unraid server set-up ready now and want to transfer it to ESXi.

 

Hardware involved is X9SCM-F, E3-1240, 16 GB, 320 GB laptop drive as datastore, 2 M1015, 1 Areca ARC1200.

 

Is this hardware compatible with ESXi? Which ESXi version should I use, any update packs?

 

At first I want to setup 2 VMs: 1 unraid and 1 Windows 7 64bit Ultimate.

 

Windows 7 will be mainly used for internet and usenet stuff and needs access to the shares on unraid.

 

How do I go about with this setup? Transferring unraid to ESXi? Any advice and suggestions are appreciated. Can any problems be expected with the hardware setup?
