WD30EFRX, SASLP Low Data Rates ? rest of config okay ?

Featured Replies

Hello Unraid Forum !

This is my first post in this Board !

I'm reading here for quite a long time now and get ALL the input I needed to build my rig without asking a single question.

That is something near to amazing, you guys do a great job !

But now  I will go on to my Problem:

My Unraid Server:

Xeon 1220lv2

Supermicro x9scm-f-o

8 gig Kingston ECC kit

16 gig Kingston flash for unraid

9 x WD30EFRX (WD RED 3TB) 8 Data Drives and of course the Parity drive !

latest unraid 5.0-rc8a AiO

I will show you my Problem with this:

speed.jpg

This is my old Server moving Data from its VERY speedy Raid 5 over to the unraid box using robocopy.

The Speed is hanging around 25% = 250Mbit/s = ~30Mbyte/s

I dont use any cache drive, right, but It really should go higher right ?

Is there anything else to think about if you guys see this config in general ?

This is my first build and I do not want to fall over something like "you have to update your drives/controller firmware first !" so please give me some input  :)

Best regards from Germany !

First Disk is full, write rates on next Disk are the same

30Mbytes/s seems like a reasonable speed.  I typically get between 28-33Mbytes/s, with short bursts of up to 40Mbytes/s.

Christoph
