Just got a Supermicro case with the SAS-846EL1 backplane.

 

I've researched some online and it appears that I will use a single HDA to connect to the backplane vs the 3 when I was using the Norco case...

 

I'm looking at different controllers that are supported by this backplane, but was hoping to get some idea's from others.

 

Price is not that important.  Looking for a fast card that works with unraid...

 

The specs of my system are listed below.  I'll be using the same mobo.

If your AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 work why not use one of them?

This particular backplane has a single connector.  The one card needs to support 24 drives thru the expander on the backplane.

 

I'm reading the notes on the AOC-SAS2LP-MV8 and it specifically states that it only supports 8 drives...

 

I see alot of notes about the M1015.  Does that card support 6g/s drives?  There is not much by way of a list of cards that works with UnRaid and their capabilities / speed out there.
