June 14, 201412 yr You know deluge has built in RSS right? Flexget is more powerful but for me the built in RSS works flawlessly and "just works"
June 14, 201412 yr I was going to have a look at flexget after i finished the serviio plugin. One of the hardest parts is getting a plugin that can auto update the application when new versions are released.
June 14, 201412 yr Would anyone mind explaining what flexget is? It doesn't look like a normal downloader / torrent type app.
June 14, 201412 yr Would anyone mind explaining what flexget is? It doesn't look like a normal downloader / torrent type app. Flexget is the RSS downloader part of a utorrent etc. transmission doesn't do that so flexget is a high powered RSS feed manager/watcher etc. I'm a basic user. It monitors 5 or 6 torrents sites for me. When it finds a torrent that matches the right criteria, it downloads that torrent file to Transmissions's watch folder. I can send you an example yml file if you need one for testing.
June 14, 201412 yr So i got the plugin mostly done in the last few hours, at least a beta version. I'm just troubleshooting right now, and this will also install the web gui but that web gui is not completed by the devs yet. It is however functional for manual editing 'i believe'. My challenge now is getting the application daemon to start with a basic config.yml file without throwing an exception for invalid format. Can you make a default config.yml file that does nothing but allows the program to start and post it here? I don't really know enough of this app to whip this up fast enough

I'll send a dummy yml when I'm at my PC. Might be a couple of hours. Just check the tabs and spades thing, that's the classic rookies error.
June 14, 201412 yr cool. do you want one that will actually download something ? You can kill the download in transmission as soon as it's working if you want.
June 14, 201412 yr I don't think so, because i don't actually use transmission. Once I have this working reliably i'll get someone to test it if anyone feels brave.
June 15, 201412 yr Someone explain to me why your adding a RSS downloader to a torrent client that already has a native RSS downloader?
June 15, 201412 yr Someone explain to me why your adding a RSS downloader to a torrent client that already has a native RSS downloader? Phaze is working on Flexget stand alone, nothing to do with Deluge I don't think. Just used this thread looking for some transmission help.
