Probelem with syslog

So I just updated to Samba 3.6.8 running RC8a.

 

I went over to "Utils" then "syslog" to verify that it is installed, and for some reason the log seems to be in a loop and constantly refreshes and won't let me scroll down. All the text is still there but the cursor constantly jumps to the top.

 

Also, the LEDS on all of the hard drives begin to flash at same time time. Like it is polling or something.

 

This goes away when I exit out of the screen.

Any idea as to what is happening?
