December 29, 201213 yr How do I get unraid to trust a red-balled disk so I don't have to re-build it when I know it is good?
January 10, 201313 yr Author For those who may reference this post in the future, Tom e-mailed me the answer, which is to back up your super.dat file, then you can use that backup to restore the array back to pre-red-ball. I used it when having discs randomly disconnect during parity check, and I knew the disks were good, saved me 10 hours of disk rebuilding each time.
