December 29, 201213 yr Hi, Just purchased and applied the Plus license so that I can use the user level security for SMB user shares. I assume the license has worked because there is a registered date, would this be the correct indicator, couldn't find any other way to check? After reading the manual and searching the forum I ws expecting to find a switch for this function in Identity or the Shares page, but nothing has appeared after reboot. If I try and select private from the Security box on the share it just defaults to public. Any ideas would be welcomed? Thanks Chris

You might have to define a "user" first before you can enable user-security.
December 29, 201213 yr Author Hi Joe, Yes, user shares are enabled, created shares and successfully accessed. I have also created a user seperate to root and if I set the disk shares to private am asked whether this user has access. The same doesn't happen for the user shares I've created. Thanks. Chris
