December 30, 201213 yr Hello Everyone, I have installed newznab on my unraid server using influencer's plugin. When I choose which group I want, and then run the script update_binaries.php and then update_releases.php I get a print out on screen that says something like: Starting release update process (2012-12-30 15:36:32) using latest regex revision 1742 Applying regex 2 for group alt.binaries.* Applying regex 1 for group alt.binaries.* Stage 2 Stage 3 Found 0 nfos in 0 releases 0 nfo files processed Checking for passworded releases. Finished checking for passwords for 0 releases (0 passworded, 0 potential, 0 none). Processing tv for 0 releases Lookup tv rage from the web - Yes Tidying away binaries which cant be grouped after 2 days Deleting parts which are older than 2 days Deleting binaries which are older than 2 days Processed 0 releases I spoke to the newznab IRC channel, and they told me to make sure I was upgraded to newznab+ , because they said the regexes wouldn't work very well. I had already gotten my email, but the field in newznab where I am supposed to put my NewzNab ID does not exist. In the Unraid Gui for the Newznab settings, I have filled out the login information for the SVN, and tried to restart unraid, etc, but it does not seem to automatically pull down the update packages it needs too. Is there a command I need to run, to facilitate the upgrade? What steps should I take? Any advice is thoroughly appreciated. Thanks
December 31, 201213 yr Author Hello Shat, I received the ID in my email from them. The problem is the field where you would put the ID is not there. Please see the attached pictures: I believe the reason the ID field is missing is because I have not upgraded to newznab+ which I can't seem to figure out how to do. Thanks
December 31, 201213 yr That's odd. I'm not using nn on Unraid. When I get home ill look where it goes in database. You could browse the db to look too. Should be a field there.
December 31, 201213 yr Author Hello Shat, My MySQL skills are mediocre at best. But I can follow instructions if you can provide them. Thanks for any help!
December 31, 201213 yr did you follow the instructions in your email to download the + version via SVN? Myk
December 31, 201213 yr Author Hello MyKroft, I did not I was afraid that if I did that I could possibly cause problems with the unraid installation of NewzNab, since the plugin has a field for NN+ svn information. I could not find any documentation to say what I was supposed to do next and I did not want to cause further problems. If that is what I should do, I can try that. Thanks
December 31, 201213 yr if you have the svn info, you can plug the login/pass unto the plugin and it will get the plus version that way was well.... Myk
December 31, 201213 yr Author Hello MyKroft, That's the thing, it's not doing that, when I log in, I don't have the newznab+ logo. Thank You
December 31, 201213 yr Guy: Try running this: svn checkout svn://svn.newznab.com/nn/branches/nnplus . Then move the downloaded code to your install directory. I then did essentially a reinstall of nn+ over it by going to http://tower:81. Having problems with the WebServer plugin now, though, so my site is down.
December 31, 201213 yr If the plugin works install tortoisesvn on your windows machine, create a newznab folder and download from svn using supplied creds. on unraid stop web server, go to newznab installation point, backup the files, delete contents of the newznab folder and copy the files from the windows newznab folder to the newznab unraid folder. restart web server to simplify I've created a shortcut to the unraid newznab folder on my windows machine. I update newznab from the shortcut. From what I read that plugin is fairly new so think wip. If webserver is not working you may be missing cnf file. Here is a link the the file provided by influencer. This fixed my issue. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=24676.msg214363#msg214363 cheers db
January 1, 201313 yr Author Hello Itoolio, daniel.boone, Your suggestions are what fixed my problem, I was trying the same thing, but was looking at the unraid folder via SMB and trying to SVN to there, and I kept getting errors, your suggestion to svn to a local folder and then manualy copy the files was the missing link for me. It was a simple little mistake I was making, that I just couldn't get past, thanks to everyone who replied to help me out! Happy New Year
