GPT/GUID detected

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I am in the process of preclearing an older drive for reintegration into my server (the drive was previously used, then replaced with a larger one). When I run preclear, I get a warning that GPT (GUID Partition Table) is detected on the disk. I don't care about any of the data on the disk at all (in fact, I'm not sure how that partition got there), what steps do I need to take to resolve this?

Thanks,

Greg

Answer "Yes" to continue.

Thanks for the response.

I realize that I need to type "Yes" to continue with the preclear. I am wondering, will this repartition the disk as well? Do I need to care about it being repartitioned?

Thanks,

Greg
