I think you should point out if it is DDR3 or DDR2, unbuffered or Registered.

different supermicro boards take different ram.

This ram does work in the HP NL40 micro servers (2 sticks anyways) I assume it also works in the NL36.

 

I have 2 sticks of it in mine.
