[solved] Cant copy files to user share folders

Featured Replies

EDIT: This problem is re-occurring can I please have this ticket resubmitted for help or should i post a new thread?

If i try to do this the network crashes , or it at least appears to crash on the windows netbook im attempting to do the copying with. Win7 will give me the error code: 0x80070035. The network path was not found

I then need to disconnect my internet access in the taskbar and reconnect because win7 will display that little yellow triangle and say 'Restricted Access' the internet drops out, reconnecting fixes the problem and i can get access to my usershares through explorer again, but still cant copy new files across. I watched the file transfer once and it copied about 30mb and then it cuts out and you can no longer see the //tower or the internet until you disconnect/reconnect.

Something worth mentioning is that the files already in the array will execute when i have access, i havent tried copying files out.

System has been working great for a year with no probs. I haven't been taking care of it though. Sometimes i powered it off at the machine without stopping the array and powering down first..just realized that im not supposed to do that. This is the first time i have taken the unraid usb out and i did it all via web control stopping and powering down correctly.

I didnt realize i could telnet in until now and i had rebooted the machine in order to get the head to show up on my tv, so the syslog will be short. I attempted to copy once and had it fail and then went ahead with the syslog job.

Hardware: (had to have a look inside)

Mobo: Asrock 880 gmh FSB2.6Ghz 6 core Phenom II USB3 DDr31800

Psu: corsair CX500

HDDs: Looks like 5 seagate 2TBs and 1 i think it was a WD black? raptor 2TB (6 2TB total)

Not sure what the CPU is

Ethernet cable: Cat6

Gateway: TP-Link (TD-8816) ADSL2+ modem router

Router: apple airport base station (and i havent re-installed there apple crapware because it never worked in the first place)

The netbook is an asus eee pc (1201pn) with win7 and i am attempting to do the transferring via wifi, it has worked for the last year using this method to transfer files from Netbook internal HDD to shares. I will attempt to hook up the netbook via ethernet and edit this paragraph if/when i can get a result with that.

I have looked through the FAQs and the 'Best Of's, as well as google advance search these forums for a solution to the 0x800700.. error

Turning off all devices on the network and rebooting unraid server fixes the problem temporarily, is their a more permanent solution as it happens fairly randomly and repetitively.

....waits patiently

There is a second pc on the home network. I usually have it running win7, it's connected via Ethernet. I can attempt to duplicate the problem with that machine, if that's what u mean ?

I forgot about this issue once it was solved. Bought a new router and the problem went away. If anyone's listening I had nothing but problems with the apple airport base station extreme :-(
