January 5, 201313 yr UPDATED - Self Resolved. - It seems that when playing with the share config settings in the last few days I had added disk1 to the exclude list under the assumption that by doing so it would force any future file placements to other drives. It appears to not be the case and only goes into effect after a reboot. After I removed disk1 from the exclude list all of my files/Directories are now visible. I'm not going to delete this post so future searches will find it. Hello, I'm Currently working on an issue where im missing directories and files in /mnt/user/*. Background info. This am I noticed that my cache drive did not empty over night for no apparent reason. running the mover script from the command line immediately returned me to the command line. I then rebooted the server after a clean manual shutdown of the array. After the reboot the array showed online from the webpage. I then went and manually started the mover script from the command line where it started to move files off of the cache drive. At this point I noticed when I accessed the shares from OSX's Finder app that the only files listed were those that were in the cache drive. I confirmed this via the cmd line where a ls -l from /mnt/user/Media/Movies only listed those files that were in the cache drive all of my other files in the Movies directory were not there. They are in the /mnt/disk* directories so the files are still available. I've checked my other directories and confirmed that the only files in /mnt/user are those that were in the cache drive. Any insight into: 1. What would cause this? 2. Best way to recover and get my files back into the user directory? My Cache drive is 320GB and at this point I've got about 2TB of files that are not shown in /mnt/user. Thanks Mike
