Hello.

Let me introduce myself.

Mike, from Montreal.I've started this projet about 6 months ago.  While searching for a good way to centralize my movie and music collection on differents forum (xbmc, Freenas, Youtube, etc), i found unRAID.  Reading about unRAID, i started to collect computer parts from friends and other parts i had and of course, buy the missing one.

Current

OS (now): unRAID 5.0-rc8a Pro

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual 5000+

Motherboard: ASRock N68C-GS FX (i had to buy it since my old MOBO was dead)

RAM: 2 x 2GB DDR2 (Cheapest i can buy at the local FutureShop)

Case: Bitfenix Shinobi Window Black (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811345010)

Power Supply: The old antec 550 watts i had

SATA Expansion Card(s): None at the time of built, now Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8

Fans: Stock case fans

I choose this board a that time, because the board can take AM2 and AM3, AM3+ socket.  Since i had the CPU (am2 socket) i didn't want to buy another one, and it was almost the last board to take that socket.  The case itself provide good air flow.  The stock fans are almost silent.  The HDD never go overs 31-32 degres.

Change to come :

CPU Upgrade : AMD Bulldozer FX-8120 8 Core Processor 3.1GHZ Socket AM3+ 125W Retail Box (NCIX, 149$

Ram Upgrade : G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL6D-8GBMQ (Newwegg : 169$)

Power Supply Upgrade : probably that one : http://ncix.com/products/?sku=78577&vpn=CP-9020060-NA&manufacture=Corsair, not sur yet.  I like the fact he's modular, so i plug what i need and that's it.

Add Fans where the HDD area

For the moment, i have 6 hd plugged.

Parity : 2TB SATA

HDD1 : 1TB SATA

HDD2 : 1TB SATA

HDD3 : 500g SATA

HDD4 : 120g IDE

HDD5 : 120g IDE

I have the raid card, but the cable i had ordered was not the good one, so when i'll receive the good one, i will change those 2 old IDE HDD with extra SATA hdd i have and add extra HDD, 3x 1tb and 1x 2tb.

I run Sabnzbd, Sickbeard, Couchpotato, Headphones, Gamez, Subsonic and MySQL.  It run high on load (2+ ...) but with the CPU and RAM change planned, i guess it will be fine after
