Hi guys,

 

I will soon be flashing an M1015 and I have a couple questions about moving drives to the new card.

 

1.) Is there any recommended procedure for ensuring that a disk controller is working properly? (dont want to corrupt disks with a bad card)

 

2.) How does unRAID find the disks? Does it find the disk by referencing a certain SATA port or does it find it by device name?

 

3.) Is there anything that I should be aware of when moving my parity and data drives to the flashed M1015?
