January 9, 201313 yr I am running Plex Media Server (v0.9.7.9.375-d056f10 ) with unRAID 5.0-rc8a. When Plex has to transcode video, if I use the ondemand CPU governor, it does not increase the frequency quickly enough to prevent significant amounts of buffering. If I use the performance governor, it eliminates the buffering, but the cpus are always running at max frequency. It would be good if future releases of unRAID supported the ondemand sampling_rate and up_threshold options, as this might allow ondemand to still be used. Is this the correct place to suggest future features? I am using a AMD Phenom II X4 965 quad core processor, each core runs at 3.4 GHZ max.
