I've found a Highpoint Rocketraid 2640x4 that I am considering buying but want to check it will work first.

 

I've searched the site and googled for ages and can only find threads from 2010 saying it wouldn't work as the linux kernel did not support it.

 

It's been 2 years since then so is it supported now?

 

It uses the Marvell 88SE6445 chipset. And will be running on Unraid 5.0rc8a

    I'd also like to hear. The AOC cards I ordered don't fit my mobo, and this Highpoint card is the only one available, unless I want to wait for over 4 weeks.

     

    According to this post the controller in the card should work with Linux. Whether the card itself does, and whether it works in unRAID, is another matter...
