January 10, 201313 yr Pros, Obviously we all have large arrays of data (Files of various types and importance) However how are you dealing with the De-Duplication process - How are you managing Images, Videos and Files? Interesting to hear your thoughts - Which products work great, Which methods work great etc...
January 10, 201313 yr Author btw - yes i saw the post (which was similar) however we were looking for ideas or concepts for a) Image duplicate finders - size/name maybe different but images are the same b) Videos - same c) Files (.docx same name and size but different docs)
January 10, 201313 yr I organize every photo by date/time in folders so I know exactly when a photo was taken. I don't normally put an event in the photo simply because I can normally narrow it down to when something happened opposed to where it happened. I as well typically insure all photos are GPS tagged I store all my photography like such 2012/ 2012-01-01 0800.jpg 2012-01-01 0815.jpg 2011/ 2010/ Videos I store by Folders as well Movies Tv Shows Home Home videos I Date/time just like my photos so I know when they where taken so there is less change of over writing and as well I know when they where shot. Documents I normally just Date/Time-Topic. The reson I Date/Time-Topic is because I can simply change my Resume 15 times and the odds of me having a few of the same are pretty likely, but they will not be the same exact date/time so I have a chance of going back to them. I suppose I could change the file name to Topic-Date/Time so I could find them easily, but I haven't had to much trouble. 2009-01-01 16.24-Resume.doc
