Budget build review and questions.

Featured Replies

Currently working on a budget build for my first ever build (unraid or otherwise).  So I'm a bit daunted.  Here are the parts I chose:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Am9r7yO5p-VydDFpRGFoNzZpdFlGY0M2dHdTcVR6SGc

Do they all fit together?  I have no idea how to determine if they will have compatibility issues

Buying only one harddrive since I have two other 3TB drives, two more 2TB, and about 4 <1 tb drives that I'd like to use.  I also have two IDE drives that I'd like to make use of here since they're working perfectly fine.  I was told I can use a sata convertor to attach them.

Now my questions:

The mobo comes with 6 Sata ports.  Is there a PCIe card with 5 or 6 sata ports?  Or should I get a different motherboard + CPU combo.  If the combo is too expensive, I can forgo some of the drives with smaller capacity so there is enough SATA ports.  But I was hoping It'd be expandable so I can add more drives in the future.

Will my power supply be enough for about 10 drives? or should I be looking at something with more wattage?

If there is a budget option, I'd like to get a motherboard+cpu that is a bit more expandable.  Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot for your help!
