January 11, 201313 yr Hello My tower has been working fine with no problem yet yesterday when started the parity drive has an orange ball and there is also a message saying that 2 drives need to be formatted. I have not changed any drives or any settings. Question: If I replace the parity drive will I loose all the data on the 2 drives which the system is telling me need to be formatted? Thank you

Thank you probably DO NOT FORMAT THE DISKS, DO POST A SYSLOG (attach one to your next post) Do it PRIOR to rebooting, Joe L.

January 12, 201313 yr Author Hello I switched the tower back on and it is telling me there is a new parity disk installed and that to bring the array on line I have to start parity sync. All the other drives appear and are all green so I will start and see what happens. Fingers crossed
