January 12, 201313 yr Hi All, After a blackout that has caused some nasty issues with my mysql install, I figured it was time to invest in a UPS. I've seen a few models referenced (Cyberpower 625VA, APC BE550G), but is there any one that seems to rise to the top of peoples minds? I'm just interested in one that will allow my server to shut down gracefully in the event of a power outage...I don't need one that will allow it to stay up for an extended amount of time. Thoughts? LT
January 12, 201313 yr APC. I have a 1300 XS that works with the shutdown script. Most APCs will. Other may but only if they communicate the same as apc. Sent from my SGH-I727R using Tapatalk 2
January 13, 201313 yr I've been wondering this same question. So I guess APC is the safest option. The 1300XS looks pretty reasonable too.
January 13, 201313 yr I think these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842101492 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16842101421 or maybe lower wattage will do nicely.
