January 12, 201313 yr I dont know if anyone else is seeing this but it is really starting to screw with me. If I copy a file to \\Tower\disk4\Data\Programming and I try to access the file using the Data share (\\TowerData\Programming) which should be the same as what is on the disk4 the file is not there. If I go to it via the path using disk4 then it is there. WTH is going on. I am very close to going back to Unraid 4.7 because I never saw this in 4.7 Unraid seems to think that the disk shares have different files on them than the user shares. Please help me
January 12, 201313 yr Author This is just weird. It is acting like dsk4 is different than my user share that is on disk4. Why would this be happening. I never saw this on 4.7 and am seriously considering downgrading because it is messed up.

Please help me the SAMBA issues and permissions issues are supposed to be fixed now in rc10. Try installing and using it. You'll need to run the "Permissions" utility as described in the release notes once you upgrade to rc10. I doubt anyone will investigate your issue in any depth when it is known there were problems with SAMBA and permissions in the version you are running.
January 12, 201313 yr Author Thanks Joe. I installed rc10 and am running the New Permissions script now.
