I purchased 2 IBM M1015 controller cards, they are SAS9220-8i with FRU 46M0861

 

I have read these cards need to be flashed, but have not found the instructions on how to do so?

    Flash of 2 M1015 completed successfully, but made no difference to my slow (12-15 MB/s) write speed compared to my supermicro mv8 cards.
