Crashplan, and perhaps not an RC10 issue

Featured Replies

After I upgraded to RC10 and re-installed my plugins, Crashplan doesn't work anymore.

I upgraded from RC8. At the same time, the email notifications plg started sending hourly status updates on the server, I had set that to daily and according to the settings, that is still what it should be doing.

This isn't so much a call for help (yet), just trying to see if anyone else has had this issue with Crashplan. Full scale troubleshooting will begin this weekend.

My crashplan plugin didnt work after upgrade but crashplan was running ok.

After running installplg again, it worked fine (and restarted fine)

Did you run the update permissions script?  When I did this it broke my crashplan.  I had to go and add back execute permissions to java and crashplanengine.

I'll give that a shot. That sounds like what happened since it isn't finding Crashplan.

Really haven't had much luck with this one.

I've reinstalled Crashplan, redone permissions, etc, etc...

When I watch the boot process it tells me Crashplan is started. This is an improvement, before changing perms it would fail to start.

When trying to connect using the GUI from my desktop, it fails to find Crashplan.

When I go to the Crashplan directory and request the status of Crashplan (via Putty) it says that Crashplan is stopped.

Back to it next weekend I guess. Luckily, Crashplan is the alternate backup plan.
