Anyone using a 8-port SATA controller with unRAID?

 

I have one PCIe x4 slot, two PCIe x1 slots and one ordinary PCI slot left on my mainbord.

 

Any recomendations?

    I am using the SuperMicro MV8 with unRAID 4.3.3.  Works fine.

    On the SuperMicro MV8, and this applies to using any PCI-X in a PCI slot, you'll need almost an inch of clear area behind the PCI slot that is clear of any " protrusions off the motherboard that will keep the card from seating all the way down as the card will have a bare connector tab that would have gone into the last part of a PCI-X slot.  I hope that makes sense.

    I too just installed the SuperMicro MV8 into my machine.  I have 4 drives attached right now and they are all running just fine.
